The Practice

Alongside my roles at La Cosecha and Fundación Equipo Humano, I maintained an independent client practice from 2017 to 2025 — taking on projects where I could work directly with organisations and founders on their communications and digital presence.

The work ranged from corporate video production and website development to social media strategy and conversion optimisation. What connected these projects wasn’t sector or scale, but a consistent approach: understanding what a client actually needs — not just what they ask for — and building from there.

Client relationships averaged 12 to 24 months per engagement.

Selected Projects

Recipok (2025) Communications and digital strategy for a SaaS product for bakeries and artisan food producers. I produced testimonial videos with the company’s clients, restructured the website and rewrote the copy to simplify the sales journey, and set up social media and Google My Business from scratch. The CEO returned for a second engagement based on client feedback about the filming experience — participants said they hadn’t even noticed when we started recording.

People of 2050 (2022) A 6-month communications partnership with a Danish environmental non-profit working on youth and sustainability. I produced testimonial videos, improved website copy and design, and created social media content across four simultaneous Erasmus+ projects. I travelled to Denmark on two occasions to work directly with the team — some things are easier to get right in person.

CVONGD (2023) A design template commission for the Coordinadora Valenciana d’ONGD — one of the most relevant civil society umbrella bodies in the Valencia region. I created a complete set of reusable communication templates covering the organisation’s main formats, designed for practical use by non-design staff. Delivered through several coordination meetings with the communications lead.

Jaidee Boxing (2020) A full digital launch from scratch for a Muay Thai school during the COVID-19 pandemic. I produced a corporate video, built the website in WordPress and set up an Eventbrite integration for class capacity management. The owner knew what he wanted to convey but couldn’t articulate it — through the right questions and a guided process, the video ended up reflecting exactly the values and feeling of the school. The business remained operational throughout the pandemic.

What This Practice Demonstrates

Freelance work over eight years means sustaining client relationships, adapting to radically different contexts, and delivering without the infrastructure of a larger team. Every project required reading a new situation quickly — a new sector, a new founder, a new communication problem — and finding the right approach without a playbook.

It also reflects a consistent pattern: clients come back, and they refer others. That’s the metric that matters most in independent practice.
