The Project

People of 2050 is a Danish non-profit working at the intersection of youth, sustainability and international cooperation. In 2022, I worked with them for six months as an external communications partner — covering testimonial video production, website improvements and social media content across four simultaneous Erasmus+ projects.

Scope & Responsibilities

Testimonial video production: Filmed and produced testimonial videos capturing the voices and experiences of people connected to the organisation’s work — translating personal stories into content that communicated the impact of the projects to external audiences.

Website copy & design: Reviewed and adjusted copy and design elements across the website — improving clarity, tone and visual consistency to better reflect the organisation’s mission and projects.

Social media content: Created content and designs for the organisation’s social channels, covering four active Erasmus+ projects simultaneously — adapting messaging and format for each project while maintaining a consistent organisational voice.

On-site collaboration: Travelled to Denmark on two occasions to work directly with the team — ensuring alignment, building working relationships and deepening my understanding of the organisation’s culture and communication needs. Some things are easier to get right in person.

Regular coordination: Maintained ongoing communication through regular follow-up meetings throughout the engagement.

What This Project Demonstrates

Working with an international organisation across four simultaneous projects — in a language and cultural context that isn’t your own — requires both adaptability and the ability to listen carefully. Travelling to Denmark wasn’t just a logistical decision; it was a commitment to understanding what the organisation actually needed rather than working from a distance.

It also reflects experience managing multiple communication streams in parallel without losing consistency or quality across any of them.
